CONNECT PEOPLE TO THE FRATERNITY

Successful charities don’t just express their values in a pitch they give members, volunteers and donors a chance to experience what the charity does.  It’s what the Sigma Phi Rho calls “experiential marketing.”  The approach goes much deeper than traditional communication techniques, and involves creating interactive, sensory member experiences with our services. In this case, however, the goals are not to convince people to just give money, but to contribute to a cause with time and talent as well as resources.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP INITIATIVES

  • Will Hall Scholarship for incoming freshmen affiliated with Rhoman’s Court
  • Johnny K. Newkirk Book Fund

NATIONAL GOVERNING COUNCIL EVENTS

  • Holiday Party – Formal kickoff of the fundraising campaign for scholarships supported by the Sigma Phi Rho community
  • Operation Celebration - To celebrate a successful fundraising campaign and to recognize campaign volunteers for their efforts and commitment

MENTOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT (Rhoman’s Court)

The Rhoman’s Court is an interest group for high school students; this is the only official interest group on the high school level for Sigma Phi Rho Fraternity, Inc.  Even if you don’t have obvious opportunities to do so, think of ways to concretely engage students, teachers and parents in your Region’s Rhoman’s Court mentoring programs and link it officially to a youth organization.

NATIONAL WEEK OF SERVICE

(The week leading up to Founders Day– No celebration w/out work) This is the week your Region and Chapter members dedicate 1 to 5 work days to dedicate to another local or national service organization or completing a community project.
